*** Women 4 & 5 will race together but will be scored separately, and separate prizes will be awarded, for each of the Senior Women BAR and the Novice Women BAR, respectively.

1.     Race is run on a rolling 10-mile loop in Poolesville, MD.

2.     Races run rain or shine.

3.     Entry fee for all races is $40. No Mail in Registration – online or race day only.  Race-day entry fee is $45 (which includes a late fee).  Register online at www.BikeReg.com Online registration ends 4/27/16.  Race-day registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes 15 minutes prior to each race. 

4.     Riders who are lapped or out of contention may be pulled at officials’ discretion.

5.     All USA Cycling rules apply. The centerline rule will be in effect and vigorously enforced.

6.     Each race will be followed by a wheels in/wheels out support vehicle. Race promoter is not responsible for lost or missing wheels.

7.     With the exception of the Cat 5 races, all events are eligible for the MABRA BAR competition.

10.   Race Course: From golf course parking area, south on W. Willard Rd; Right on River Rd; Right on Mt. Nebo Rd; Left on W. Offutt Rd; Right on Edwards Ferry Rd; Right on Westerly Rd; Right on W. Willard.

 
AABC Has Two Racers in the Top Six at Giro di Coppi PDF Print E-mail

Brian Dietz came in third place and Vladimir Sarkosiv came in 6th.  We also had two more team members in the top 20.

Bad Week for Drug Cheats PDF Print E-mail

This week has been good or bad for drug cheats - depending on your point of view if it is good or bad that news of positive tests become common knowledge.  To run down the rogues list made public in the past 7 days:

Pawel and Kacper Szczepaniak- 

Thomas Dekker -

These riders were targeting for testing after doping officials found suspicious data in the their blood profiles maintained as part of the governing body’s biological passport program.  In fact, Dekker had a sample from 2007 tested.  So, word to the wise.  

 

 

 
Upcoming AABC Racing Events PDF Print E-mail

There are two team events this month to help usher in the 2010 racing season.

Friday, January 15th: Matt McGoey and All American Bicycle Center will be hosting a team night at the shop.

Saturday, January 30th: 2010 kick off party at Ron's house.

Details for both events were sent out to the team mailing list.
