By now you have seen, heard or read about the stage 3 shenanigans in the TDF. I say shenanigans because some claim Columbia-HTC planned the attack, some say they were merely opportunistic, and I am sure there are others who would claim that Armstrong was somehow responsible. I think the more prosaic explanation is that the brain strust of Phil Liggett, Paul Sherwin and Bob Roll actually got something right by remarking at the beginning of the stage how the wind would have an affect on the outcome of the race.

Raced twice. Reston is a tough double, especially when the races are back to back. AABC did the M35+ and the M3/4, consisting of myself, Ron, Bob, and James.

Poolesville cat 4 Race Report, by Jeff Gagliardo
I rode out to the course which turned out to be a pretty nice warm-up, got to registration and was told I couldn't race.
Them:"Your licence says you are a cat 5"
Me:"For some reason I didn't get my sticker and I've been racing 4's all year"
Them:"you can't race unless you prove you are a 4"
